Teaching Presentations
We offer Teaching Presentations that match the Student Notes Pages from the Student Workbooks exactly. This is to save you time and energy!
The goal of the presentations is to bring quality, consistency and ease to Mathematics teaching. You can project it onto a screen and teach directly from there.
Any teacher or reliever should be able to walk into the classroom and teach a robust Maths lesson using the Teaching Presentations!
The Teaching Presentations are accessible through our online School Subscription.
Level 1 Colours:
Differentiated Practice Pages
Each concept has three levelled pages with varying difficulty and quantity of problems.
Support Level:
Contains questions that allow access to all students by hitting the stage just below the year level and build up to the on-level problems; plenty of working space provided
On-Level:
Contains questions that are at the right stage for the year level and progress towards extension thinking
Extension Level:
Contains questions that extend understanding of the concept by using backwards thinking and/or a variety of numbers (larger numbers, decimal numbers, fractions, etc.)
Each year level workbook has these levelled pages in different colours.
We suggest letting students choose their own level of work for the day. This EMPOWERS them to take charge of their learning and succeed!
Level 2 Colours:
Puzzle Pages
Each concept also has a Puzzle Page. This is intended for use after students finish their chosen differentiated practice page (and mark). It could also be used as a one-off lesson or a revision sheet.
The puzzles are fun, engaging and differentiated ways for students to practice the concept. We love them because they help students check their understanding as they go!
Puzzles include:
-
Codebreakers
-
Maze Runners
-
Favourite Mistakes
-
Crossword Maths
-
Multiplication Wheels
-
Colouring Maths
-
And more!
Answers
Now for the best part - we have answers too!
There is a separate answer book to use in the classroom, available as a PDF or physical book for NZ buyers.
Answers show the working - not just the answer! We suggest letting students mark their own work to see their mistakes, then make corrections (with working) to turn in to the teacher.
Bonus Features
-
Some differentiated basic facts pages
-
Māori workbook pages that educate about Te Reo Māori (e.g. how to count, naming shapes, etc.)
-
Tests that match the concepts in each unit that can be used as practice tests or post-tests
Our Student Workbooks (NZ only) also include:
